Mr. Bernard is a first generation Jamaican American, born and raised in Chandler, Arizona. Mr. Bernard attended Arizona State University where he earned a Bachelors degree in English and Secondary education. Wanting to make a bigger difference for his community, Mr. Bernard attended Arizona Summit Law School and quickly became a rising star.

After law school Mr. Bernard focused his practice on criminal law where he could be on the front line and fight legal injustice. Mr. Bernard quickly earned a reputation of being an aggressive trial attorney and is the youngest attorney to receive a municipal court public defense contract.
